Abbreviation:NCAMBC
Name:New Cambridge Bible Commentary
A more scholarly commentary than the older Cambridge Bible Commentary yet accessible to the serious lay student or the pastor. I have found some volumes in this set very helpful, especially the commentary on Revelation by Ben Witherington III which is exceptional.

Revelation (New Cambridge Bible Commentary)
I regard this as one of the best commentaries on Revelation currently available. There are obviously difficulties picking a single best commentary--best for what? But Witherington covers such a range of material here and does it so well, that it is hard not to cheer. He covers different views of interpretation, including various spiritual options. Intermediate to advanced students will benefit from this book.
