- >> My Journey: Communion on Tongue Childish ? et. al.
Fri, 12 Mar 2010 01:42:00 -0600 I went for the parents' class of the First Communicants and was surprised by how our parish priest characterized receiving Holy Communion on the tongue. He said, "If we had hang-ups with receiving communion by the hand and want to be fed like a child, then the option of receive it on the tongue is still available but, we must teach our kids that they can receive it by the hand." I was doing that because I did not want particles of the consecrated host to be left in my palm.

Thu, 11 Mar 2010 11:24:00 -0600 If we snooze, we lose. So, be warned of the latest. A deparate scheme by which Democratic leaders plan to bend the rules to ram President Obama?s massive health care legislation through Congress now has a name: the Slaughter Solution.
The Slaughter Solution is a plan by Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), the Democratic chair of the powerful House Rules Committee and a key ally of Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), to get the health care legislation through the House without an actual - >> Matthew 12
Thu, 11 Mar 2010 11:17:43 -0600 One thing we’ll see Jesus doing over and over is challenging the man-made religious practices of the culture. Why do you think Jesus challenges them so blatantly? Wed, 10 Mar 2010 07:08:18 -0600 When we read Matthew 10, we learn a lot about what it means to go and make disciples. What are some of the things you learned from Jesus’ instructions to His disciples?
Notice that He is addressing their concerns and their apprehensions about carrying out this mission. What were some of their [...] - >> Living The Gospel
Wed, 10 Mar 2010 01:31:11 -0600 As Christians, we are charged with spreading the Gospel to the unsaved. We don?t do this by our words but also by how we live our lives and interact with people. Our lives and actions really need to match what we?re saying. As we all know, children learn not by what we tell them but [...] - >> Matthew 9
Tue, 09 Mar 2010 02:00:55 -0600 Today we’re reading through Matthew 9. Since we invite everyone to fast with us until 5 PM every Wednesday, let’s talk about Matthew 9:14-17. What did Jesus’ Words on fasting mean to John’s disciples 2000 years ago? What do you think Jesus’ Words have to say to ekklesia today?

Sat, 06 Mar 2010 08:50:00 -0600 Source: http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201003040058
Stupak argues that in an insurance exchange, which is part of the health care overhaul bill, the current standing regulations on abortions will not be enough to prevent federal funding from going toward those services.
The language in the Senate health care bill restricts the use of public funds for abortion services. BUT private insurance plans that are offered in the - >> End Of Life

Sat, 06 Mar 2010 02:09:00 -0600
Everyone wants to fix the insurance problem. But a solution that is filled with fraudulent accounting does not inspire confidence. Paul Ryan presents CBO numbers and their ramifications. Wed, 03 Mar 2010 11:22:00 -0600 From the video. Planned Parenthood (a nonprofit) made over $115 million in profits in 2008 as a result of their 300,000+ abortions performed. We shine light on the truth about Planned Parenthood's propaganda that prevents many from understanding what's really at issue. Quite simply, if you have your child, they make no profit. The issue of Abortion goes beyond the buzz words of 'Choice' and 'Reproductive Freedom'. There are much deeper questions and stories that defy the pro-abortion myths. Wed, 03 Mar 2010 11:02:00 -0600 They were stolen from their homes, locked in chains and taken across an ocean. And for more than 200 years, their blood and sweat would help to build the richest and most powerful nation the world has ever known.

Wed, 03 Mar 2010 02:00:13 -0600 We have now entered into what is commonly called, “The Sermon on the Mount.” Matthew chapters 5-7 are a compact version of what a faithful disciple of Jesus looks like. Wed, 03 Mar 2010 01:30:00 -0600 I recently witnessed a debate on the use of theological terms. I honestly did not know that this would be a debatable topic within Christendom. I am constantly surprised at what Christians will debate among themselves though I guess I shouldn?t be.

Mon, 01 Mar 2010 11:33:00 -0600 The Perfect Priest
The results of a computerized survey indicate the perfect priest preaches exactly fifteen minutes. He condemns sins but never upsets anyone. He works from 8:00 AM until midnight and is also a janitor. He makes $50 a week, wears good clothes, buys good books, drives a good car, and gives about $50 weekly to the poor. He is 28 years old and has preached 30 years. He has a burning desire to work with teenagers and spends all of his time with senior citizens.

What I mean by Moderate Christian Theology
By "moderate Christian theology" I mean the doctrinal views of those who are moderate, relaxed, and open in how they deal with the world, but who take the Christian religion and Christian spirituality seriously. They will have an interest in the Bible, but will not be dogmatic and will also be interested in interfaith dialog and will not pressure their neighbors. Their primary form of witness is by their life, but they do not hide the fact that they are Christians. They let their light shine through deeds first, then words, and even through signs.
